Oh hi hello there. I'm Mallory Blair. I am a 23-year-old New Yorker, spending most of my time making Small Girls PR run.

Before landing on this page, you and I were only separated by a mere three degrees. Now we can be one on the web. That's not the definition of technological singularity but it should be.

With this tumblog, I promise kittens and balls of yarn for the kittens to play with. There will be some making out and a lot of hand-holding. I hope that when you are lonely and lost on the outmost corners of the interweb, you can come here and find yrself and feel the good vibrations. You are special and no one can touch that!

Art Class (song for yayoi kusama) - Superchunk

I am home and being home means rummaging through things and rubbish, forgotten or tossed away that now seem to have garnered their own magical, nostalgic value over time.  This song’s title was the name of a pivotal mix made for me by a certain college’s admissions counselor upon discovering I’d been deferred by another college’s early admissions round.  I was upset and without being pushy or predatory he made me a mix of what would become some of my favorite songs.  The mixtape can be a powerful thing.  Though I didn’t accept his college’s offer of admission and opted to go to NYU instead, remembering him now and having his mix makes me feel really okay about people and places and looking back at them from far away.
