this one was always my favourite,
My senior year a boy transfered to the junior class that I really admired. He wore bright green sneakers and had a crisp haircut with limbs that just sort of hung there. In between boyfriends, I walked up to him when he was sitting alone at a lunch table and said, “Oh, hey, hi. I just wanted to let you know I think you are really beautiful.” I have since learned this is an inappropriate thing to do because this guy told our one mutual friend what a weirdo I was and never looked at me again.
